Wanna make your first music festival experience in the UK? Take a look at the Victorious festival

As a music lover and long-time festival goer, over the years I’ve had the chance to visit all sorts of festivals in America and Europe. However I have never attended a festival in the UK. Every year I plan to attend Glastonbury, and check other obvious and not that obvious choices to travel to in Summer. But for one reason or another, it has never happened. While I wait to make my first experience perhaps you find yourself in the same place. Reason why I want to share with you one of those hidden gems that I came across with. It’s none other than the Victorious Festival which is held on The Common and Castle Field in the beautiful seaside location of Southsea, Portsmouth. Probably one of the most beautiful festival locations that you will ever find. Think about a Sunset with a sea view while listening to your favorite artist (live) together with your festival crush (this will be on you obviously).

Victorious Festival is a three-day music festival that this year celebrates its tenth anniversary with an edition full of amazing artists. Including some that are not that easy (or just impossible) to see in other festivals outside the UK. Hard Fi is for example one of those hidden gems that I grew up listening to and I would definitely not miss! But besides the obvious, Victorious also includes talented, up-and-coming, unsigned, and new artists from the local and surrounding area performing across multiple stages. An example that other festivals should follow.

Victorious, which has been growing and improving year after year over the years, has also been accumulating industry awards. It is well connected from London and you can choose between a flat, hotel or the festival's camping site. Besides, local attractions such as the Southsea Castle, the Southsea Skatepark or the D-Day Museum are within the festival boundaries and are only accessible to ticket holders during that time.
