Sziget festival is special. It has had an influence in the lives of many of us. I have said it many times before. Some even found love on the island. Some even proposed! And precisely about romance I want to write today.
These wedding proposals highlight the magical and eclectic atmosphere of the Sziget Music Festival, proving that it’s not just about music, but also about creating unforgettable memories and celebrating love.
01. Florence + The Machine's surprise
During a 2019 performance by Florence + The Machine, a man proposed to his girlfriend as Florence Welch sang "Dog Days Are Over." The surprise proposal was met with cheers from the crowd, and Florence congratulated the couple, making it a truly memorable moment.
02. Ed Sheeran's stage invitation
At the 2019 Sziget Festival, Ed Sheeran noticed a man holding a sign asking to propose on stage. Sheeran invited him and his girlfriend up, and with the crowd watching, he got down on one knee. The girlfriend said yes, and Ed played “Perfect” to celebrate their engagement.
