Cover versions to listen on a loop

Not everything that happens in the antipodes has a global impact, but comparable to BBC Radio 1's “Live Lounge”, “Like a Version” has been consistently killing it week after week since it started back in 2005.

As a segment of the Australian radio station Triple J (pretty much everything that happens in Australia, happens in this radio station), the idea of Like A Version is pretty simple. They invite a musician or band into their studios, tell them to bring their instruments along, stick microphones in front of them and ask them to play one of their own compositions as well as a song they love by someone else.

Throughout all these years, many artists have performed (Kasabian, Haim, Tash Sultana, Childish Gambino, Halsey, Glass Animals, Alt J, Parcels, Tame Impala, Chvrches, etc…) but if you are not yet familiar to it, check these two out, significant hits and already history of the program.

Arctic Monkeys honoring psychedelia and Australia's national pride and most international band, Tame Impala.

And the new teenage Queen of pop covering the King of Pop ́s super hit Bad.

Discover new versions every Friday morning around 8am (Australia time) through their website or go over all the videos on their YouTube channel.
