Vetusta Morla in Germany
Vetusta Morla is probably the most important Spanish rock music band and they start today a short German tour that will take them to Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Köln and Berlin. Vetusta Morla is the success of six friends, six normal guys, six incredible musicians with a sincere and spectacular show. One of those bands that if they did not exist we would have to invent.
The Madrid based band certainly needs no introduction to all the big community of Spaniards living in Germany. In a way, it feels like they will be playing at home, especially here in Berlin but for all those who have never heard of them, let me say that one thing that Vetusta Morla stands out for is because it boasts one of the best live shows nowadays. Since they started playing live, the band has stood out for their forceful sound, their precise performance and their communion with the audience.
In any of their four shows throughout Germany we will have the unique opportunity to see a band of giant dimensions in intimate venues, like the ones of their beginnings when their fame was slowly being forged based on playing and playing to, by the time they put out their first album in 2008, were already a true mass phenomenon. Truth to be told, despite its deserved popularity, if there is a band that best defines what indie should be, it has to be Vetusta Morla. So if you happen to be in Germany this week, you should better get a ticket!
