Get ready (finally) for the first edition of the Superbloom festival
Announced just before the pandemic, this first edition of the Superbloom festival comes after two initial cancellations. Undoubtedly a difficult start for a new festival that is finally about to get underway. It will be on the 3rd and 4th of September when the festival will finally open the doors of the great and revolutionary complex of Olympiapark & Olympiastadion in Munich, originally built as the main venue for the 1972 Summer Olympics and designed by Frei Otto (Pritzker Architecture Prize in 2015) and home of the new Bavarian festival.
With a line-up that has logically been changing since it announced its first edition in 2020 (I don't want to imagine the headache of the organization over the last two years), it’s final version is somewhat eclectic. So whatever you like, you're going to find very interesting options to enjoy a festival that you can go to with your friends or your children, because it has space and proposals for all audiences. In any case, I certainly wouldn't miss the performances of Macklemore, Kraftklub, Years & Years, AnnenMayKantereit, Glass Animals, Stromae or little gems like Beabadobee or Girl In Red.
But Superbloom promises more than music and a great location because the festival will include podcast, comedy, sports, science, sustainability, urban art, acrobatics, performances, kids area and many more. So have a look at this interactive map of the venue and discover all the proposals that the festival has prepared.
